Key Responsibilities
* Develop, integrate, and maintain software for rapid deployment projects in the Defence domain.
* Collaborate with algorithm engineers to implement and optimise complex mathematical models.
* Apply full software lifecycle experience, including design, coding, testing, and integration.
* Contribute to unit and wider software testing to ensure robust, high-quality systems.
* Work within defined software development processes, adhering to best practices and configuration management.
* Maintain technical documentation, reporting, and risk management in alignment with project standards.
* Support continuous improvement in build pipelines, CI/CD, and software delivery processes.
Required Skills
* Strong experience in C++ and Java software development.
* Proficiency in software configuration management (SCM) and Jira for change and task tracking.
* Experienced in unit testing and wider software testing practices.
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and documentation standards.
* Skilled in risk management and problem-solving for fast-paced projects.

Required Qualifications
* A Bachelors or Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline OR relevant technical military background with equivalent hands‑on experience.
* Must be eligible for or already hold UK Security Clearance (SC).
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Linux platforms.
* Knowledge of software build pipelines and CI/CD processes.
* Exposure to software assurance and requirements management.
* Familiarity with Defence domain processes.
* Continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in emerging technologies.
