Our client are looking for a Graduate fashion buyer to join their buying team. This position is ideal for someone with good communication skills and an eye for detail/ organisation to develop their career within a fast-paced industry.
Reporting to the departmental Buyer, the role is to ensure administration and buying tasks align with organisational goals and are consistent with the retail stores/online products. You will deal with day-to-day queries from stores, suppliers, distribution and area management to ensure good relationships are maintained throughout the business. Strong communication is a must as you will be dealing with a number of different departments and regularly dealing with suppliers.

Job responsibilities
Admin Control and Desk Management - emails/files/diaries/EWM processes
Seasonal Sample Range Management - all collections/all critical paths/all departments.
Diary Management and awareness - key meetings/critical paths.
Approvals to suppliers - trims/buttons/threads/embroideries and so on. Email managed.
Booking Bought Sample Process
Returning Bought Sample process.
Visual Range Plan creation.
Photoshoot Sample Ordering. Email. Document for tracking process. Chasing suppliers for the deadline.
Travel and Business Trips - hotels/trains and planes. Booking responsibility.
Range Manual Stores- working with the Marketing Dept + Merchandising + Design.
Windows - sample provision and data recording.
Photography - Web - Sample provision.
Corp Card Maintenance + Expenses management.
Sample Sale and Warehouse Archive Room maintenance.
Shipping Samples - merchandising requirement.
Focus Groups - team effort to prepare and manage the research process re sample preparation/transportation/and so on.
Supplier samples - recording intake date.
Research - fabric dispatch for cross sourcing.
Colour Standards - Document creation for dispatch to Suppliers after Sign Off.
Prototype File management - Design Prototype documents. All collections.
Trim Spec Creation
Comp Shop Reports - Written and Photographic
Postal Procedures
Ideal Candidate
* Degree within fashion/ marketing would be desirable.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Good numerical skills
* Good people skills & excellent communicator
* Organized with the ability to work to deadlines
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
