In this hands‑on role, youll play a key part in relocating and consolidating the nations Parliamentary heritage collections. Youll support the Lead Storage Technician to prepare objects for safe transport, working closely with contractors during packing, decant, moves, and re‑stowage. In this role, you will also install collections in high-profile locations on the Parliamentary Estate.
Key Qualifications
* Heritage expertise– Experience in collections management and object movement within museums, galleries, historic houses, or similar heritage settings.
* Collections care know‑how– Solid understanding of standards, processes, and security in collections care, plus hands‑on experience moving and installing a variety of historic objects.
* People skills– Ability to build strong relationships and work confidently with stakeholders at all levels, always promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Meticulous attention to detail– Ensuring the right objects are moved, records are accurate, and everything complies with health, safety, and collection care standards.
