Waiting List Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Waiting List Coordinator to join our team!
This key role requires exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth, efficient management of waiting lists, supporting patients, clinical staff and the Trust in meeting operational and clinical goals. Your contributions will directly impact the Trust's ability to provide timely and high-quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of service delivery in the waiting list and reception areas.
* Liaise with various departments to ensure patient appointments are scheduled in accordance with agreed protocols.
* Support clinical teams to meet waiting list targets and optimise theatre utilisation.
* Ensure patients receive appropriate transport arrangements and follow‑up appointments are scheduled efficiently.
* Work closely with Patient Pathway Coordinators, Appointments Office and medical staff to provide a seamless experience for patients.
Knowledge Requirements
* Computer literate, with substantial experience using a keyboard with a high level of accuracy.
* Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general.
* RSA II, ECDL, NVQ 3 or equivalent certification.
* Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets such as PAS, Excel or similar applications.
* Sound office clerical background with at least 3 years experience.
Qualifications
* Good general education with GCSE English at grade C or above (equivalent to NVQ 2).
* IHRIM.
Experience
* Minimum 1 year clerical experience.
* Minimum 1 year customer care experience.
Contractual Requirements
* Regular attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
