We have an opportunity to join our Maternity Recovery Team as a Recovery Nurse. The post consists of two 12.5 hour shifts per week (Monday - Friday). No bank holidays!
Responsibilities
* Develop your clinical skills and participate in continuing your professional development.
* Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team; be motivated, hardworking and possess strong communication skills.
* Confidently read drug charts and administer the appropriate medication at the right time and route for patients in your care.
* Perform observations confidently, identify normal parameters, and escalate appropriately when outside of these.
* Provide wound care, identify deviations from normal, and escalate appropriately.
* Maintain confident and timely documentation.
* Training opportunities in breastfeeding support, glycaemic control in the neonate, contraception advice, discharge advice, and supporting the team in emergency situations.
