The purpose of the Automation Tech's position is to assist in all aspects of electrical maintenance, installation, testing, and improvements & modifications of production and support equipment. The position also assists in leading the electrical maintenance group to maximize production capabilities through minimizing downtime.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or similar field of study OR equivalent experience
* Ability to teach others both in person and via tele-conference
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* High level of competency in the use / understanding of Allen-Bradley and / or Siemens PLCs and communication protocols; knowledge of visualization (ex. Wonderware, PanelView, etc.)
Preferred candidates have experience in wood panel processing.
This is an on-call, 24 / 7 position.
