About the Role
The IT department manages all technology in the business, including infrastructure, software and hardware. The team plays a key role in driving technological improvements and ensuring the business remains at the forefront of using technology to enhance services and products. As an IT Support Apprentice you will deliver excellent technical on‑site support with outstanding customer service to all users across the business.
Please Note
All applicants must be willing to work from the Manchester Office on occasion for training and holiday coverage. You will need to be on site and ready to start work no later than 9 am and also be available for 8 am–4 pm as needed.
Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent customer and technology services via the Service Desk channels
* Use service monitoring tools to aid problem solving and service delivery
* Use automation to support the automatic resolution or mitigation of issues
* Support, develop and coordinate effective functioning of business applications
* Contribute to planning of application scalability, configuration changes and releases
* Provide virtual support for staff working remotely as well as on‑site
* Interact with internal teams and 3rd‑party vendors as part of the supply/delivery/support chain
* Handle escalated Service Desk tickets, incident management and service requests
* Contribute to and resolve escalated customer, supplier and vendor issues
* Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs
* Assist in driving the knowledge management process
* Participate in IT related projects
* Assist with the creation, distribution and analysis of operational, business and financial reporting
* Contribute to the production of IT support documentation as part of the knowledge base

Entry Requirements
* 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A–C) in any subject
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
* No existing qualification at the same or higher level as the apprenticeship’s subject
International equivalents may also be considered if you can provide an official comparison document.
Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm.
