GSL Education are currently recruiting a Science Teacher to join schools in Penistone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about delivering impactful science education across Key Stages and supporting pupils to reach their full academic potential.
Role Overview
As a Science Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. Your goal will be to cultivate critical thinking, encourage enquiry-based learning, and support pupil achievement in science subjects.
Responsibilities
* Plan and teach high-quality science lessons tailored to a range of abilities.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Prepare students for internal and external assessments.
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-departmental projects.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is mandatory.
* Experience teaching Science in UK schools.
* Strong knowledge of the national science curriculum.
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
