Job Description We're seeking a dynamic Director to lead our journey toward a sustainable, low-carbon future in logistics. This key role will craft a strategic roadmap to transform transportation and warehousing, set ambitious CO₂ reduction targets, and spearhead decarbonization initiatives! Core Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Roadmap Development Develop a global logistics sustainability strategy for transportation and warehousing. Define CO₂ reduction targets aligned with corporate climate goals. Create a logistics decarbonization roadmap, focusing on technology adoption and operational optimization. 2. Emissions Measurement & Baseline Creation Establish a baseline for Scope 1, 2, and Scope 3 emissions using recognized methodologies. Collaborate with Climate/Sustainability teams for accurate data models and reporting. Implement global data collection processes and KPIs to monitor emissions. 3. Decarbonization Opportunity Assessment Identify CO₂ reduction initiatives like route optimization, alternative fuels, and warehouse energy efficiency. Conduct cost-benefit assessments to support decision-making. 4. Procurement Partnership Integrate sustainability criteria into RFPs and contracts with logistics providers. Co-lead supplier engagement programs for CO₂ reduction. 5. Implementation & Program Delivery Lead global implementation of sustainability initiatives from development to execution. Manage governance structures with Procurement, Logistics, and Sustainability teams. 6. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a subject-matter expert on logistics decarbonization. Collaborate with external partners and communicate progress to executives. Play your part in our team succeeding The director will partner closely with Climate & Sustainability teams, Procurement, Regional Logistics Operations, Finance, and regional supply chain leaders to accelerate the company’s transition to a low-carbon logistics network. Do you have what it takes The ideal candidate has over a decade of experience in global supply chain, logistics, or sustainability roles, with expertise in designing sustainability programs and understanding carbon drivers. Key Skills and Experience: E xperience in Logistics Operations Experience with Scope 3 emissions, GHG Protocol, and carbon accounting tools. Ability to lead cross-functional programs and strong analytical skills. Familiarity with digital tools for logistics data and emissions measurement. Passion for sustainability and knowledge of global regulatory expectations. Behaviors & Leadership Attributes Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans. Inclusion of sustainability KPIs in contracts. Improved reporting accuracy and stakeholder engagement. The position is based in London, UK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
