Job Title Stores / Warehouse Manager Department Stores & Distribution Type Full Time Permanent 40 Hrs Per Week (Shift Work) Location Springvale Business Park Belfast BT12 7AL Job Purpose The Stores/Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient storage, inventory management, and distribution of goods in the warehouse. They will ensure stock levels are maintained, orders are processed on time, safety standards are met, and the team operates effectively to support the business goals. Key Accountabilities Responsible for warehouse operations, stock control and people management of the Stores / Warehousing team. To constantly review operational processes to ensure efficient warehouse productivity. Planning of delivery schedules and Driver/warehouse rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels across all the departments in the warehouse to complete delivery runs. Proactively plan and engage with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach and effective resolution of issues impacting the stock management process and warehouse function. Ensure the accuracy and strict control of all relevant documentation and administration relevant to your area. Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner. In collaboration with Procurement and the Sales team ,ensure that accurate and periodic stock takes are being undertaken. To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation and stock transfer. Implement and promote the companys Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Store/Warehouse. Responsible for identifying any health and safety needs and taking any corrective action required. Responsibility to ensure structured training and development for self and team to enhance skill levels, product knowledge, flexibility, absence cover, health, safety & welfare of your team. To be a key holder and open / lock up at appointed start and closing times if required. Experience & Qualifications What do I need? At least 5 years recent experience in a similar role. Valid forklift license. Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics environment, part of which time involved the direct management of people. In depth knowledge of logistic processes and stock management would be beneficial Familiar with stock control, management and allocation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
