Job Role and Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality English lessons up to KS5
* Plan and create engaging, curriculum-led lessons
* Inspire students to develop a passion for reading, writing, and communication
* Monitor student progress and provide targeted support
* Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
* Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives
* Ensure safeguarding and promote pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Commitment to safeguarding and student development
Start Date and Benefits:
* Start Date: September 2026
* Permanent position
* £135 to £200 per day (dependent on experience, training, and qualifications)
