Overview Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home. This role is central to delivering outstanding care and achieving the best outcomes for young people with emotional and behavioural needs, learning disabilities and/or sensory needs.
Provide strong, hands-on leadership ensuring the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Safeguard children by acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead and ensuring all staff understand and follow child protection protocols.
Manage and mentor a team to provide safe, nurturing, and person-centred care.
Oversee staff recruitment, supervision, rotas, training and performance management.
Maintain compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies.
Ensure occupancy and budgetary targets are met while maintaining high standards of care.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children & Young People’s Residential Management) or working towards it.
At least 2 years’ experience in a senior residential childcare role.
In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and relevant legislation.
Full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS.
