About the Role
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring the premises.
* Providing a visible deterrent within the store against theft, anti‑social behaviour, violence and criminal activity to create and support a safe shopping environment.
* Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
* Engage with police and other security personnel to improve service levels – this may include crime partnership meetings, shop watch schemes and police meetings.
* Deal with confrontational situations in a calm, sensitive and professional manner.
* Officers must also be flexible to be able to cover sickness, holiday absences, and ad‑hoc shifts for the full‑time team.
About You
* Excellent communication & customer service skills.
* Professional in approach, with a balanced sense of judgement, and a keen eye for detail.
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
* Knowledge of SCONE.
* A valid SIA licence (DS).
* A full five‑year checkable employment history.
Location & Schedule
* Where: Brighton, BN1 area.
* When: We’re looking to get the right person in to the team ASAP!
* Hours: 16‑24 hours per week covering Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
* Shift patterns: 07:00‑23:00.
* Pay rate: £15.00 per hour.
