One of the ways we can achieve this is by working with communities to co-create meaningful, relevant experiences that reflect the diversity of our nations. As part of this commitment, this year some key properties will be hosting events and activities to celebrate Diwali as part of their annual programme. We’re looking for a Diwali Creative Producer with recent experience of creating and delivering cultural programmes in a heritage setting to join our national Experiences & Partnerships team until February 2026 to help shape this work. Please note that we are open to a job share for this post which can be discussed at interview stage. What it's like to work here You’ll report to the Cultural Programming Manager and work with a team of operational staff, volunteers, regional and national specialists, as well as external partners and communities. As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You’ll play a key role in supporting and enabling staff to engage and equitably partner with local communities to deliver programming for Diwali. You’ll use your understanding and experience of co-creation and community engagement to support properties as part of the national team. You will collaborate with specialists in experiences, marketing, and communications to successfully deliver the work. Your role will help ensure activities are authentic and represent the needs of these communities. By providing coaching, facilitation, and training, you’ll build the confidence and capability of property teams to create and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships. You’ll champion equitable, inclusive and ethical collaboration with diverse communities with a clear aim of nurturing a relationship of trust that reflects our mission to end unequal access. Additionally, you will assist in creating clear briefs, identifying relationships, and sharing best practices. You’ll also support the Diwali Project Manager in evaluating the Diwali experience for visitors, participants, and partners, as well as in communicating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. More broadly you will also help the organisation to develop stakeholder relationships with South Asian communities beyond our borders. Through matrix working you will act as an ambassador in target cities and towns working with our Access & Conservation Directorate, urban, fundraising and communications teams. You will support city-based events and conversations and work with strategic, national partners. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you have:- Experience in community engagement with the skills to build partnerships and collaborations locally and nationally. - A successful track record of working with communities to create people-led programming that gives a platform to a diverse range of voices and stories.- A strong ethical approach to your work with the desire to lead positive change for the organisation.- An understanding of and experience in cultural & community programming and specifically Diwali.- Experience of working nationally across multiple stakeholders both internally and externally. - A collaborative, empathetic and inclusive approach with the ability to flex and adapt plans and style to the needs of communities, team members and partners.- Experience of coaching, facilitating and/or delivering training to enable others with strong people and influencing skills.
