Chef Manager
We are recruiting for a Chef Manager who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. The Chef Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, staff management, stock ordering and control, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for patients, staff and visitors. This role combines culinary expertise, leadership, and a passion for high‑quality food and service.
Responsibilities
* Oversee kitchen efficiency and adherence to food safety and health & safety standards.
* Manage and control resources effectively in accordance with the Trust's SFI's/SO's and other policies.
* Ensure staff carry out duties safely, efficiently and cost‑effectively in line with employment policies.
* Assist the Food Production Manager to provide induction and training for staff, evaluate effectiveness, and provide corrective coaching.
* Participate in training, as appropriate, and apply skills and knowledge to the role.
* Negotiate and develop key working relationships with the Food Production Manager, Compliance Officer, Supervisors, Ward managers, Housekeepers, Administrators, Chefs and Catering staff.
* Present a trade test during the interview (basic recipe preparation); candidates are expected to bring suitable chef whites and change into them.

Qualifications
* Proven culinary experience and expertise in menu development and food preparation.
* Demonstrated leadership ability and team management skills.
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
* Training and coaching experience acceptable.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
