Job Title: Laboratory Analyst Location: Durham Salary: £25,635 to £27,000 Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm) Environmental Essentials are a well-established asbestos company with 7 offices across the UK and an excellent reputation for delivering a first class, quality focused service to a number of very high-profile clients. The Job Role * To competently undertake the analysis of bulk material samples for asbestos content as per accredited company procedures * To work with and assist colleagues in terms of prioritizing workload and managing sample KPI’s with the Laboratory * To accurately record test observations and data in relation to the sample analysis to enable the accurate production of factual test reports in hardcopy or electronic format * To ensure that quality control and assurance schemes are completed as required as part of the maintenance of authorisation status and UKAS accreditation * To ensure that internal customer queries and requirements are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner * To ensure that equipment is properly used and any defects are reported immediately, * Undertake additional delegated responsibilities as authorised by management About You * Experience within the asbestos and/or analytical industries. * BOHS P401 (or RSPH equivalent) mandatory. * Strong work ethic. * Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. * Good communication skills, both written and verbal. * Extremely good attention detail Benefits * Annual Leave – 23 days 8 Bank holidays * Sick Pay * Life Assurance * Health Cash Plan * Refer a Friend Scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Pension Scheme At Environmental Essentials, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where equality is at the core of everything we do.
