About The Role
Engineered to Protect, that’s our promise, we protect what matters - our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world. As Caterer, you will assist with all aspects of preparation of food service areas and presentation of food to the specified standard.
Caterer, will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week.
The salary for this role is £24,643K, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
Prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers special dietary requirements i.e. nut, dairy or wheat allergies
Replenish all food and equipment to ensure service periods do not stop
To assist with the setup, service, clearing of function catering as requested
Ensure that temperatures of fridges, freezers and hot cupboards/serveries are monitored and recorded in line with the Food Safety Act
Ensure that the control of raw materials and portions are to the Company’s standards and ensure all food is served at the correct temperatures
Ensure that all goods are quickly and correctly stored away on rotation system following the rule first in, first out and comply with Food Safety regulationsAbout our company

Previous experience in a similar or relevant role
Knowledge of food hygiene standards
Communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring and friendly service to customers and clients in all areas of service
Resolve on the job problems or ask for advice from senior members of the team
Strong Attention to detail
Work well in a small team
