Join Our Lifesaving Team Airdesk Coordinator Full Job Description: Airdesk Coordinator Location: Coventry, CV3 4FR Hours: 40 hpw Benefits: Benefits Table Provisional Interview Date: 8th December 2025 Due to an internal promotion, we’re excited to be recruiting for an Airdesk Coordinator. Join our dedicated, life-saving team and play a vital role in making a difference every single day. As an Airdesk Coordinator with the National Children’s Air Ambulance, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, coordinating our specialist helicopter transfers for critically ill babies and children across the UK. From managing flight logistics and liaising with clinical teams to monitoring missions in real time, you’ll ensure every transfer runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Work in partnership with CPTs (Clinical Partner Teams) and flight crews to deliver an outstanding service. Liaise with hospitals, landing sites, airports, and emergency services to support safe operations. Communicate clearly and proactively before, during, and after each mission. Prioritise and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic environment. Complete incident reports and other required documentation. Provide administrative support and complete general tasks as directed by the Airdesk Team Leader. What We’re Looking For: Experience of either working within a control room environment, or a coordinating call centre type role, including scheduling and urgent response. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively in person, over the phone / virtually, by radio and in writing Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, NHS teams and external stakeholders Be able to demonstrate an understanding for the need for confidentiality and how this can be maintained Have a high attention to detail and level of accuracy Be able to be resilient under pressure and to identify when support is needed for self or others Be able to effectively manage and prioritise a changing workload What’s In It For You: At TAAS, you’ll be part of a passionate and committed charity that’s making a real difference every day.
