Staff Design Engineer – Arm
Job Description
Arm’s Systems Development team designs subsystems for various application segments, using the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic SoC Design Engineer to join the team and help develop these systems. As a member of the design team, you will contribute to the specification, design, and verification of various compute subsystems.
Responsibilities
* Write micro-architecture specifications, develop RTL and run design checks.
* Work with verification team to review test plans and debug design issues.
* Guide and support other members of the team as needed to enable successful completion of project activities.
* Contribute to developing and improving design methodologies used by the team.
Required Skills And Experience
* RTL design for complex ASIC products & SoCs using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
* Arm-based designs and/or Arm System Architectures.
* Functional Safety concepts and standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508). Experience automotive IP from definition to completion.
* Static design checks, synthesis, timing analysis, power management techniques.
* Power domain and Clock Domain Crossing implementation.
* Fundamentals of computer architecture and systems; practical experience on processor-based system designs.
* Technical team leadership, mentoring or coaching experience.
* Shell programming/scripting (Tcl, Perl, Python, etc.).
Nice to Have
* High-level programming (C/C++ and/or assembly).
* Embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessor and embedded system hardware architectures.
* DFMEA at module and system level.
