Registered Nurse (Adult) Inclusion Health Service for Those Experiencing Homelessness
The Belfast Inclusion Health Service is looking for a dynamic individual to join the multidisciplinary team. Interest is welcome from those who are registered on Part 1 of the NMC Register (Adult) and have experience of working with vulnerable groups including those experiencing homelessness and sex workers. This is an innovative nurse-led multidisciplinary service, operational among an identified population who experience homelessness. This population suffer complex and diverse health and social care needs including physical health, mental health and substance misuse issues. Many service users in this population experience barriers in accessing medical help, advice and support. The post holder will be an integral part of the Inclusion Health team and will work within a complex multiagency environment.
Responsibilities
* Enhance pathways and communication for those experiencing homelessness who require access to a multiplicity of health services.
* Assist in improving liaison between hospital and community care provision for this population.
* GP services, specialist nurse services, podiatry and dental services.
Skills and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse on Part 1 (Adult) of the NMC Register for 3 years with two years’ experience working with vulnerable groups including those experiencing homelessness.
* If you have not been employed in a nursing position recently, you must have completed a ‘Return to Nursing’ course to be eligible for shortlisting.
