CT Radiographer

An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highlymotivated CT Radiographer to be based at Darlington Memorial Hospital withrotation through Bishop Auckland and occasional visits to the other sites.
It is an excellent opportunity for anyonewishing to join a friendly team and gain experience in all aspects of CTscanning whilst working in a re-designed department with 5 new scanners crosstrust that support a wide range of referrers.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be provided with an inductionperiod, during which time it will be ensured that they are equiped to performall of the CT procedures undertaken throughout the 24/7 service. CTRadiographers will be required to participate in the 24/7 shift pattern.
They will have excellent communication and organizationalskills and be keen to develop and support the provision of a patient focusedquality service. They should have evidence of effective teamwork and leadershipexperience whilst ensuring a patient centered approach to care at all times.
Your day to day role would include: Efficientand effective running of the CT lists, ensuring that policies and proceduresare adhered to provide a safe and efficient environment for the patient,participate in the supervision of student Radiographers, maintaining goodworking relationships with all Departments and being proactive at alltimes.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Job responsibilities
We perform many radiographer led lists such as CTcolonography, cardiac angiograms, biopsies and other interventional proceduresand we are also keen to implement radiographer led vetting.
As part of the teamyou will be required to partake in a 24/7 shift rota which consists of days,long days and nights.
You will be joining a strong, supportive andexperienced team in CT with future plans for role/service development.
