Working under the supervision of the Recovery Shift Foreman, the Recovery Utility Operator III is responsible for performing various duties in an industrial environment, including:
* Adding or mixing chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
* Cleaning and maintaining equipment in a safe and orderly condition.
* Collecting samples of materials or products for laboratory testing as required.
* Dumping or pouring specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment for processing.
* Visually examining materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to standards.
* Monitoring production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Assisting operations personnel as assigned daily.
* Reading Standard Operating Procedures, directions, and guidelines to perform duties as assigned.
* Operating mixing or blending machines, opening valves, and starting pumps to transfer mixtures as directed.
* Following established safety procedures.
* Performing equipment-specific lockouts.
* Transferring materials, supplies, and products between work areas using moving equipment and hand tools.
All duties must adhere to ADM and OSHA safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include:
* Ability to read and write.
* Computer literacy, including keyboarding and mouse use.
* Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* Ability to drive a forklift.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
* Knowledge and experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
Minimum qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Successful completion of a background check.
The pay rate for this position is $22.79 per hour.
