Intro
Cedar is currently partnered with a global, PE-backed business to secure an Interim FP&A Manager based in the Glasgow area (at least 3 days onsite). This role is an initial 6-month contract, paying a day rate of £450 - £600PD (Outside IR35).

This fast-growing organisation operates across multiple UK sites and continues to invest heavily in commercial, operational, and systems improvements. The business has performed strongly, with continued expansion supported by significant private equity backing.
The Role
As Interim FP&A Manager, you will support the Finance Director and wider commercial finance team across forecasting, planning, reporting, and operational analysis. Key responsibilities include:
Delivery of effective reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis
Business partnering with site managers and operational leads to identify efficiency improvements and enhance margins
Detailed margin analysis at product and customer level
Stock analysis, reporting, and improvement initiatives, including slow-moving provisions
Supporting and maintaining standard costing, including BOMs and labour cost calculations
Tracking and challenging business improvement initiatives across UK sites
Preparation, review and analysis of daily, weekly and monthly reports and KPIs
Analysis of results versus budget, forecast and prior year, including variance discussions with stakeholders
Supporting weekly cashflow forecasting and monthly external reporting
Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, including identification of risks and opportunities
Month-end support and continuous improvement of controls, systems and processes
Providing ad-hoc financial support to strategic and tactical initiatives
Your Profile
You will ideally have:
3-5 years of relevant FP&A experience
A recognised finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferred)
Knowledge of NetSuite, Power BI or SQL (advantageous)
Strong commercial awareness, analytical capability and organisational skills
Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness to travel occasionally to other UK sites
