Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate team players, committed High Intensity Therapist/ CBT Therapist to join Lewisham Talking Therapies (IAPT) service. The post is fixed term 12 month to cover maternity and sabbatical leave.
Role and responsibilities
The primary role is to provide a specialist psychological therapy service to clients living in Lewisham Borough. This includes specialist assessment, treatment planning (mainly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), and delivery, including monitoring of outcomes on a weekly basis.
* Provide specialist psychological therapy assessments for clients referred to the NHS Talking Therapies service, based on appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.
* Provide at least one NICE-recommended psychological therapy for anxiety disorders and/or depression.
* Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework and methods with proven efficacy.
We collaborate with IAPT training courses at King’s College/ IoPPN, University College London and The University of Exeter, and with centres of clinical excellence and research innovation such as the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (CADAT). Our staff have engaged with specialised training to offer CBT, CfD, EMDR, DIT, IPT and BCT.
