Overview
FM Assistant - Catering | Band 2 - £12.51 per hour (£24,465 per annum pro rata). Basildon Mental Health Unit. This post involves working in the main kitchen; kitchen experience is essential.
Staff will be required to support with food prep, cooking, serving, stock deliveries and cleaning within the kitchen and dining area.
Hours
WEEK 1: MONDAY 07:00 - 14:30 & 16:00 - 20:00, WEDNESDAY 07:00 - 14:30, THURSDAY 07:00 - 14:30, FRIDAY 07:00 - 14:30 & 16:00 - 20:00
WEEK 2: TUESDAY 16:00 - 20:00, WEDNESDAY 16:00 - 20:00, SATURDAY 07:00 - 14:30 & 16:00 - 20:00, SUNDAY 07:00 - 14:30 & 16:00 - 20:00
This post will include unsocial hours payments as follows: Saturday – Time plus 41% of the salary; Sunday – Time plus 83% of the salary.
Responsibilities
* To ensure that the ward(s) / areas you are assigned to are cleaned in accordance with the Work Schedule for those ward(s) / areas.
* This will include vacuuming floors; sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors; high and low dusting; wiping over and polishing (where applicable) both vertical and horizontal surfaces, mirrors, chairs*, bed frames*, bins, sani-bins; cleaning toilets, sinks, baths and showers; cleaning cookers, regeneration ovens, fridges, holding fridges, microwaves and other items in the kitchens; defrosting fridges on a regular basis; restocking consumables such as toilet tissue, hand towels, soap; descaling taps; and bins and replacing bin liners.
