Job Title: Carpentry Lecturer
Location: East Surrey
Type: Permanent - Full Time
Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 (a market supplement may apply subject to qualifications, skills, and experience)
Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic Carpentry Lecturer for a Further Education College in East Surrey
In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students across Levels 1 to 3, including full-time learners and apprentices. You will play a key role in guiding and supporting learners on their journey, helping them develop both their technical abilities and their confidence to succeed in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions across Levels 1 to 3 in Carpentry and Joinery
- Act as a personal tutor and course lead for Level 2 students, supporting their academic and personal development
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course development, and continuous improvement activities
- Assess and monitor student progress, including in-house delivery to apprentices
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and wider Construction team to maintain high standards in teaching and learning
- Promote student attendance, motivation, and progression into employment or further study
- Participate in team meetings and wider departmental initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTTLS, Cert Ed)
- A relevant Carpentry qualification, with the ability to teach up to Level 3
- Previous teaching experience, ideally within the Further Education sector
- Significant industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery
- Experience in delivering and assessing Apprenticeship programmes
