Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager - Required ASAP\nCompany: Well-Established Main Contractor\nLocation: Central London\nRate / Salary: £500-£600 per day (freelance) or £110,000-£130,000 per annum (plus package)\nEngagement: Freelance / Temp-to-Perm / Permanent\n\nRole Overview:\n\nA well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their Central London office. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of a major project across the life sciences, commercial, education, and leisure sector, with values ranging from £50 million to £200 million.\n\nThis is a key role requiring expertise in both pre-construction and full project lifecycle management, ideally on high-value, complex new build, refurbishment, and fit-out schemes.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPreparing financial reports and cost forecasts\n\nBudget management and commercial risk control\n\nAdvising on contract and commercial strategy\n\nLeading client and stakeholder engagement\n\nSupporting dispute avoidance and resolution\n\nAssessing compensation events and payment applications\n\nReviewing and managing subcontractor and supplier performance\n\nMentoring junior commercial staff\n\nPreferred Experience:\n\nDelivery of projects valued between £50m-£200m\n\nExperience with PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement)\n\nStrong understanding of full project lifecycles\n\nProficiency in NEC and/or JCT contracts\n\nSector experience in life sciences, commercial, education, and leisure projects\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nIf you're interested in this role or exploring other opportunities as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, please contact:\n\nGareth Jeffrey\n(phone number removed)\n\nNote: All applications are treated with strict confidentiality.
