Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to engage with customers. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while assisting with merchandising and maintaining the overall appearance of the shop.
Duties
* Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
* Manage stock levels and assist with merchandising to create appealing displays.
* Utilise effective communication skills to engage with customers, providing product information and recommendations.
* Employ upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases while maintaining a friendly approach.
* Handle customer inquiries via phone and in-person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
* Maintain an organised shop environment, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
* Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks.
* Demonstrate basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
Requirements
* Proficiency in English is essential; bilingual or multilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a busy retail environment.
* Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively throughout the day.
* Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.
