Senior Director, AI Commercial Business Partner – Oncology Business Unit Europe & Canada

Location: Cambridge, UK or Barcelona, Spain.

Compensation: Competitive salary with excellent benefits.


Responsibilities

* Own strategy and portfolio of new AI commercial programs in partnership with business teams.
* Serve as the single business owner for AI solutions within your therapy area, market or function.
* Maintain and sequence an AI roadmap aligned to business, medical, access and R&D priorities.
* Develop business cases and value narratives to support prioritization decisions.
* Translate business needs into well‑defined AI use cases with clear metrics and success criteria.
* Co‑lead delivery of AI solutions, overseeing pilot shaping, deployment, adoption, scaling and decommissioning.
* Track adoption KPIs, value realization and apply evidence frameworks.
* Act as a change leader embedding AI into operations, driving AI literacy and compliance with data governance standards.
* Partner with Enterprise Demand Excellence, AI technology teams and other functional leaders to ensure AI‑ready data and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
* Work with regional leaders to co‑develop AI programs, secure sponsorship and ensure successful scaling across the region.


Accountabilities

* Strategy and portfolio ownership of AI solutions.
* Engage stakeholders to identify unmet needs and translate them into AI use cases.
* Own full AI program lifecycle: ideation, development, deployment, adoption, ROI and closure.
* Lead change management, embed new practices, support AI literacy and up‑skilling.
* Serve as the main interface with AI capability teams and enterprise AI organisation.
* Ensure data governance, model cards, monitoring, human‑in‑the‑loop oversight and compliance with legal, safety and PV requirements.
* Drive partnership and ecosystem engagement to co‑deliver AI programs.


Essential Requirements

* Substantial proven experience leading transformation programs in commercial pharma.
* Deep commercial and scientific domain expertise relevant to oncology and the region.
* Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed environment.
* Operational effectiveness, highly organized processes and strategic planning experience.
* Financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting and business planning skills.
* Resourceful, proactive leader able to prioritize in a fast‑growing organisation.
* Strong initiative to understand core business goals and drive alignment across functions.
* Experience with project and programme management tools and methodologies.


Desirable Requirements

* Graduate degree (MBA, Masters, MD or PhD).
* Experience leading and managing alliances or strategic partnerships.
* Ability to translate business needs into coordinated proposals and plans for senior leadership.
* Creative problem‑solving skills for complex challenges.
