Receptionists within EPIC are responsible for the successful co-ordination and oversight of the service administration within Salford Primary Care Togethers (SPCT) Extended Primary Care portfolio of services. The services provided include: GP Out of Hours, Locality Clinical Assessment Service (LCAS), ED Streaming and additional services. The post holder is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the administrative systems that are pivotal to the daily running of these services. Tasks could include opening/closing of the building, monitoring stock levels, supporting clinicians with data inputting, monitoring of the service email inbox, responding to and collaborating to support requests, telephone calls to colleagues & patients and monitoring clinical systems to escalate issues where appropriate.
The role within EPIC provides support for planned and urgent care services as well as Primary Care Network Support. The team work together to ensure that tasks are carried out to the required deadlines; to support patient care and population health across neighbourhoods in Salford. The team has to respond to changing circumstances and a positive and flexible approach is required including changing locations the post holder may need to work from at short notice. The post holder organises their work and manages their time autonomously and effectively to ensure that all tasks are completed within the required timescales.
EPIC24 works under the direction of the Primary Care Networks and in delivering Salford CCG Urgent Care contracts.
