We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to join our EMEA team out of our office in Manchester UK.
The Senior Piping Engineer works on various projects as assigned by a Project Manager or Lead Designer. This individual plays a role in the entire design process including, but not limited to, preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, and problem resolution.
We rely on you to:
1. Develop design concepts; prepare documents during design development. Correct and update design documents. Develop solutions to design problems.
2. Use computer-aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents. Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company standards.
3. Attend pre-bid meetings and assist the project team in evaluating proposals.
4. Collaborate with equipment suppliers/vendors to gather necessary information for design completion. Interact with clients to confirm scope and design intent.
5. Archive and retrieve data from electronic databases to support work.
6. Research equipment options from catalogues under the guidance of the Project Designer/Engineer.
7. Ensure quality standards and coordinate work to reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
8. Coordinate design work with related engineering disciplines. Attend job and construction meetings to facilitate coordination.
9. Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials.
10. Support field installation and start-up activities.
11. Contribute to performance reviews for assigned staff.
12. Handle special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years of previous design experience.
2. A technical or associate degree in drafting and/or design from an accredited institution is preferred.
3. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of applicable codes.
4. Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with customer service experience.
6. Experience in process industrial settings, especially in the Life Sciences industries, is preferred.
