Rushmoor Borough Council is situated in Farnborough, in North East Hampshire. The council continues to provide an excellent service to residents enabling them to live in warm, safe and accessible homes.
Rushmoor is looking for two disabled facilities grant officers to work within Operational Services. The role will require you to assess, process and administer Disabled Facility Grants from receipt of a referral from the Occupational Therapy team to completion of the relevant works and payment to the contractor. The administration of discretionary housing renewal grants/ and loans is included in the role.
This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role working within the private sector housing team. You will need to be self‑motivated, empathetic, an excellent communicator and confident in drawing up schedule of works based on OT recommendations. You will be required to carry out financial means tests to determine qualification for DFG’s and provide support to residents throughout the process.
