The Role: The team is seeking a highly skilled actuary to join our Institutional Capital team in London, supporting the development of our Insurance business in EMEA. Partnering closely with the regional Institutional teams to support them in their interactions and marketing efforts with Insurance companies, the individual will be expected to contribute on all aspects pertaining to ALM, local regulatory and accounting regimes, as well as the design and implementation of capital efficient solutions under EU Solvency II and Solvency UK. Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal teams and clients to tailor investment strategies to local regulatory and balance sheet constraints Develop portfolio analytics and thought leadership tailored to Insurance companies to support Blue Owl positioning as a preferred partner to Insurers in the region Monitor and translate EU and UK Insurance regulatory developments into actionable investment insights and solutions Provide input on EMEA insurance matters for marketing collateral, due diligence & RFP questions Qualifications: Fully qualified actuary (UK, German, or French preferred) 7 experience in portfolio construction for General Accounts, and notably MA portfolios Strong analytical skills and Python programming skills; must be able to build and run code for client solutions Experience with insurance solutions at a top-tier asset manager, or Background in advising insurance companies on investments, either from within an insurer or a top tier consultancy Strong knowledge of private markets including private credit and real estate Blue Owl is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
