Senior QA Test Engineer
We have a brand new role for a Senior QA Test Engineer at a client based in North Bristol (Close to Filton). The team works hybrid, so they need someone who is happy to be in the office three days a week.
You'll be joining a rapidly growing software house that scales fast and works on software that protects people on the front line, emergency service workers, soldiers, anyone who needs to stay safe in high risk situations. Because of the nature of their work, you'll need to be able to pass a security clearance, so you must hold a British passport or have lived in the UK for the last 5+ years.
You'll be part of a lovely and growing team of eight Software Testers, embedded into development teams working in an agile environment. The team works on products spanning mobile apps, connected devices, and web-based platforms.
As a senior, your role will be very much hands‑on but will also involve championing and helping to improve best practices across testing and the teams and influencing test strategy. Whilst automation isn’t essential, it would be a big bonus as they’re keen to build this out. They currently use Playwright for their web apps and want to introduce automation across mobile too.
They’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Tester with hands‑on mobile app/device testing, who's tested across mobile apps, connected devices, and web-based platforms. Any automation experience is a huge bonus.

Salary is up to £65,000.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
* Experience as a Senior Software Tester or similar role.
* Hands‑on experience with mobile app/device testing.
* Experience testing across mobile, connected devices, and web‑based platforms.
* Experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, etc.) is a significant bonus.
* Ability to obtain security clearance (British passport or UK residence for 5+ years).
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
