Overview
As the Senior Occupational Therapist you will work closely with the Therapy Lead to be responsible for the delivery of Occupational Therapy services to all residents at Inspire Neurocare. You will deliver highly specialised assessments and evidence based interventions for adults with complex neurological and rehabilitation needs. You will also provide expert advice, guidance and education to health and social care professionals, families, carers and other key stakeholders ensuring a collaborative and person-centred approach to recovery and independence. As the Senior Occupational Therapist you will play an integral part within the interdisciplinary team both clinically and developmentally whilst supporting the Clinical Lead in reviewing the current service and implementing service developments when required. This role involves working autonomously, utilising advanced clinical reasoning skills whilst supporting the Therapy team to optimise resident outcomes and facilitate their return to meaningful activities and independence.
Responsibilities

* You provide expert advice, guidance and education to health and social care professionals, families, carers and other key stakeholders to support collaborative, person-centred recovery and independence.
* As part of the interdisciplinary team, you contribute clinically and developmentally and support the Clinical Lead in reviewing and developing services.
* You work autonomously, using advanced clinical reasoning to optimise resident outcomes and support return to meaningful activities and independence.
Qualifications
* You should have a current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP) or a recognised degree or qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* At least Two years post-registration experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
* Proven specialist experience of treating adults with complex neurological conditions (e.g. Brain and Spinal injuries, stroke, early onset dementia and progressive neurological conditions).
* Confidence in both specialist assessments and complex intervention planning.
* Have excellent communications skills to be able to clearly share information with residents and fellow employees.
* Be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
* Have proven experience in leading, supervising, or mentoring others.
* A great attitude to teamwork and a desire to lead on patient care.
* You to have commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
