EMCOR UK – Reading, England, United Kingdom. We are looking for an experienced project professional to manage client projects and drive profitability across our portfolio.
Key Details
Location: Mobile covering London and Thames Valley region.
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE per annum + Car Allowance + Company Benefits.
Hours: 08:00–17:00 Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent Full Time.

Responsibilities
* Be responsible to the Projects & MW Manager for the P&L of the project work and to help manage direct project activities to maintain and improve net profitability.
* Quote for works and complete accurate tender submissions.
* Ensure statutory compliance (CDM 2015, Building Regulations, British Standards, RIBA Stages) and other specification requirements.
* Represent the account in support of the Project & MW Manager, feeding into the account project function and maintaining the Enquiry Management Tool.
* Develop strong, collaborative relationships with client staff applying Key Account Management principles.
* Prepare an annual business plan and budget in partnership with the Project & MW Manager.
* Supervise client forward capital plans, ensuring they are sufficient, appropriate, and delivered on schedule.
* Manage delivery of projects to contractual standards, SLAs, and KPIs, minimising penalties.
* Conduct regular P&L reviews, quality, H&S, compliance, key milestone, and relationship reviews.
* Collaborate with the customer, design consultants, and assurance teams in developing design proposals and specifications.
* Ensure all designs/work activities comply with customer procedures and site standards.
* Implement and maintain all EMCOR UK quality control systems and procedures.
* Oversee the entire project process from conception to completion, including final inspections and IOC declaration.
* Ensure comprehensive handover to operations, including change management and asset record updates.
* Review supply chain partners and ensure compliance with procurement processes.
* Maintain relationships with client operational and FM teams.
* Ensure governance and processes are fit for purpose and reviewed regularly.
* Take ownership of projects when required and support operational resources as needed.
* Guarantee projects have suitable, qualified, and experienced operational resource.
* Leverage knowledge of UK project management services (Civils, Fit Out, Life Cycle replacement, Welfare, Energy).
* Lead change initiatives, directing others towards new business ideas and practices.
Qualifications / Profile
* Relevant project management and H&S qualification (APMP, PMQ, PRINCE 2, MSP, IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH) or working towards.
* Good understanding of statutory compliance processes (CDM 2015, Building Regulations, British Standards, RIBA Stages).
* Demonstrable experience in managing or supervising projects in highly regulated environments.
* Knowledge of BIM is advantageous.
* Minimum of 4 years HFM experience and skilled in a building services or engineering discipline.
* Strong planning and organisational skills to manage changing needs.
* Track record of successful delivery of multi-task building services projects.
* Commercial and financial acumen on complex accounts.
* Strategic management or supervision of multiple subcontractors.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation, competent in meeting CDM regulations.
* Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship skills.
* Experienced in NEC3 terms and project budgeting.
* Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Project, Office 365, PowerPoint).
* Willingness to train and improve for contract benefit.
* High personal integrity, professionalism, and problem‑solving capability.
* Voluntary undertaking of Appointed Person training (e.g., HVAP) if required.
