Description
* Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently within the accounting system.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company policies.
* Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to address queries.
* Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
* Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
* Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Assistant should have:
* Demonstrated experience working in a finance related role.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* An understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
