The Opportunity
This 12‑month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at our #Torness Power Station in Scotland. You’ll join our Business Performance Programme, gaining hands‑on experience in a junior role while being supported by skilled colleagues. You’ll apply your academic knowledge to real‑world challenges in the energy industry, from safety improvements to radiation protection and condition monitoring.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting safety campaigns
* Exploring radiation protection in new power stations
* Helping maintain condition monitoring programmes across operational sites
* Working on projects that previous students have found rewarding
Your Work Location
Based at #Torness Power Station in Scotland (EH42), working on site and connecting with colleagues across the business.
Who You Are
* On track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
* Right to work in the UK (sponsorship possible but priority to those with the right to work)
* Strong motivation and a focus on individual strengths
Security Vetting
Security vetting is required; you must have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
