Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based in Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. You will require NHS experience of working with adults, mainly older people, and have assessment and treatment knowledge and skills associated with this patient group.
Patients are seen in their own homes, homely setting or as an outpatient. The team focus is on community rehabilitation, preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and treatment to adults, mainly older people, in various settings (home, outpatient, community hospital).
* Supervise junior staff at Band 6 level.
* Engage in audit and service development activities.
* Participate in regular supervision and professional development (PDP) sessions.
* Travel throughout the area and, when required, work at other community hospital sites.
* Accept public holiday working (including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Degree in Physiotherapy.
* Registered with the HCPC.
* Evidence of continuous professional development appropriate for Band 6.
* Evidence of involvement in audit and service development.
* Experience supervising junior staff.
* Ability to travel throughout the area.
