Overview
This is an opportunity to join the Research & Development Team as an R&D Administrator within the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. The role supports the RD&I department with administrative office tasks, procurement, maintenance of the electronic research database and online systems, and communications support for internal and external stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for initial enquiries to the R&D office and provide timely responses, guidance, and documentation as needed.
* Manage the Research & Development generic email account and calendar/appointments for senior team members.
* Support training administration, including preparation of materials, issuing certificates, attendee bookings, and room bookings for applicable courses.
* Administer the Web-based Research database, Edge, including ensuring study status is up to date, uploading documents, granting access to new users, and managing attributes/workflows.
* Administer applicable Web-based electronic systems and assist the R&D Communications Officer with public relations and marketing administration.
* Assist with the maintenance of the RD&I website, ensuring information is current and up to date, and liaise with the trust communications team and other departments regarding PR.
Other responsibilities include following the guidelines and policies for the conduct of clinical trials and ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with Good Clinical Practice.
Job purpose
To provide administrative office support for the RD&I department and deliver a high quality, efficient administration service. The post holder will support procurement and maintenance of the electronic research database and applicable online systems, act as a first point of contact for staff and visitors, and work as part of the administration team to ensure an effective service.

Qualifications

o NVQ 3 level education or equivalent
o RSA II standard word processing / audio typing skills
