About the Home...

Welcome to Arncliffe Court Care Home. Our care and support teams work hard to create a warm, friendly atmosphere for residents to enjoy. We provide residential care, nursing care, dementia care, and dementia nursing care on-site. Our houses offer plenty of activities and socialising opportunities, as well as peaceful, quiet spaces for residents to relax if they choose.

About the Role...

This role involves coordinating the daily operational running of assigned houses across the care home site, ensuring care is delivered according to care plans and residents' changing needs. You will actively lead shifts when required, ensuring the home is adequately staffed and care is delivered as planned. You will contribute to overall compliance, follow policies and procedures, support upskilling nurses and their practices, and monitor clinical and non-clinical KPIs.

Key Responsibilities...

* Support staff to deliver care aligned with Advinia’s care principles and values, promoting personal choice and independence, and ensuring residents receive high standards of personal care.
* Assist the shift leader in completing their role and coordinate support between units as needed.
* Support medication management and administration in line with company policy.
* Roster staff efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting resident needs and statutory requirements, while minimising agency use.
* Communicate effectively with senior management and between units to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain good relationships with external stakeholders and attend relevant meetings.
* Foster positive relationships among staff, residents, and families.
* Ensure mandatory audits are completed as scheduled, maintaining regulatory and organisational standards.
* Step in to run shifts when required.
* Ensure nursing care is delivered in line with best practices and CQC guidance.
* Clinically supervise nursing staff, ensuring compliance with best practices and NMC guidance.

About You...

The Unit Coordinator is vital for the smooth operation of the care home, requiring a compassionate individual with excellent organisational and communication skills to support residents, staff, and families. Requirements include:

* A relevant leadership qualification
* Previous management or leadership experience in a residential care setting
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Proficiency in computer applications and recording systems
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in care
* Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
