The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support your store team by driving sales performance and managing daily store operations. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimize KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for people who:
* Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting your team to meet and exceed targets through KPI delivery
* Deliver market-leading customer service to foster business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases
* Offer VIP concierge services, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings
* Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge and sell the story, not just discounts
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling
* Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally
* Participate in operational tasks like delivering wine, merchandising stock, and engaging with customers to drive sales
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements and collaborate with your team to implement solutions
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements, completing mandatory training
* Lead by example, supporting junior team members and providing feedback to your Store Manager
* As a key holder, manage store opening and closing procedures confidently in the absence of management
Knowledge & Skills Required:
* Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service
* Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
* Proactive attitude with a passion for resolving problems
* Adaptability and resilience to meet changing business demands
* Strong communication skills
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn and pass level 2 WSET is essential
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
