Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT leadership team. The ideal candidate will be part of our Business Analysis team actively being a bridge between business stakeholders and our technical teams, driving best practice, defining requirements and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions to meet the business outcomes.
This role involves working across end to end business processes including eliciting requirements, creating user stories, managing key stakeholders. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst will take Project Coordination/Change Management responsibilities where appropriate for their initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Requirement Gathering and Analyzing:
o Gather and document business requirements across business solutions and applications, particularly focused on, Microsoft, ERP, CRM, Web and SaaS based solutions.
o Elicit and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
o Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather user requirements, drive best practice and challenge into discussions and provide feedback.
* Stakeholder Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team.
o Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Documentation and Analysis:
o Create detailed documentation including user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
o Analyze and map business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
* Collaboration:
o Collaborate with product owners, developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
o Collaborate with the development team to ensure that configurations and customizations meet business needs.
* Quality Assurance:
o Assist in the development of test plans and test cases to ensure that the solutions meet business requirements.
* Project Coordination:
o Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery as required, mostly small to mid-size change initiatives
Qualifications
* Experience and Skills:
o Proven Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in complex platform environments, ideally in a platform based business with Contact to Cash and Finance background.
o Experience and understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Expert in creating user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively at all levels of the organisation
* Technical Proficiency:
o Expertise across Microsoft, ERP implementations (or equivalent) acting as senior BA across end to end business and technology processes
o Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools.
* Educational Background:
o Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
o Relevant Business Analysis certifications such as CCBA, Agile BA.
