Transport / Fleet Manager
Elite Mobile/ Galaxy Connect, the largest SIM Card distributor in the UK and the fastest Vape brand in the convenience sector is looking for a Transport / Fleet Manager to take charge of our 200‑vehicle fleet and help us drive greater efficiency across our operations.
Reporting directly to the Fulfilment Director, you'll be responsible for the strategic and day‑to‑day management of our van fleet. Your focus will be on maximising performance, reducing operational costs, and ensuring our vehicles are safe, compliant, and efficiently utilised.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of fleet operations, including:
o Insurance and compliance documentation
o Service scheduling and maintenance
o Repairs and replacements
o Recovery membership management
o Fuel usage monitoring and cost control
o Fleet procurement and replacement planning
o Invoicing and budget tracking
* Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
* Maintain accurate fleet records and ensure compliance with all regulations.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Sales and Operations to support business goals.
* Analyse data and produce reports on fleet performance and expenditure.
* Handle occasional out‑of‑hours calls for urgent fleet issues.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring:
* Proven experience in Fleet or Transport Management (ideally managing 100+ vehicles).
* Strong commercial awareness and cost‑control experience.
* Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
* Confident decision‑making and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Ability to work independently with a hands‑on, proactive approach.
* Flexibility and a desire to build and shape this role as the company grows.
What can you expect from us?
In return we offer a basic salary plus uncapped commission, with estimated OTE earnings of up to £30,000 per annum.
