We regulate higher education on behalf of all students, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, has a fulfilling experience that enriches their lives and careers.We have high ambitions and offer great opportunities to get involved in bringing that vision to life.**The role**As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll:* Design and implement analytical workflows to extract meaning from complex datasets.* Use techniques including data transformation, visualisation, statistical modelling, and data science to generate insights.* Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.* Support the development of analytical methodologies, systems, and processes.* Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and the wider organisation to ensure data meets business needs and is accessible via the OfS data model.* Build and maintain self-service data applications for internal and external users.* Advocate for an evidence-led culture and contribute to enhancing the organisation’s data capability.**About you**We’re looking for someone who is:* Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.* A strong communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.* Logical, analytical, and pragmatic in problem-solving.* Experienced in working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.* Familiar with the modern data stack and agile working practices.**Essential skills and experience:*** Strong SQL and/or Python (or equivalent language).* Experience with application of artificial intelligence solutions, statistical methods, data modelling, cleansing, enrichment, and/or visualisation.* Knowledge of Databricks or similar platforms.* Understanding of GIT and version control.* Awareness of government DDAT capability framework for data analysts.* Ability to manage projects and deliver at pace.* Competency in communicating and influencing across diverse audiences.**Working for us**The OfS regulates the higher education sector on behalf of all students.
