Purpose
Keep the hire fleet safe, compliant, and available for customers by carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant, vehicles, and equipment.
Key Accountabilities
* Service and repair plant equipment, excavators and dumpers to manufacturer standards
* Diagnose faults (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) quickly and accurately
* Maintain legal compliance (safety inspections, service records)
* Prioritise urgent breakdowns to minimise downtime
* Plan and carry out scheduled servicing to reduce reactive repairs
* Maintain accurate service records and parts usage logs
* Work collaboratively with the team to ensure equipment goes out safe and reliable
* Take responsibility for workshop condition, tools, and safety

* Experience in plant/vehicle maintenance
* Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
* Customer-focused: recognises downtime as lost revenue
* Flexible to cover occasional call-outs or seasonal peaks
* Proactive in flagging recurring faults and suggesting improvements
