Job title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Elstree, Hertfordshire
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week - flexible between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant looking to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? Our client, a rapidly growing automotive group with an exceptional reputation for quality and innovation, is seeking an ambitious individual to join their finance team at their modern head office in Elstree.

Responsibilities
* Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
* Managing cash allocations and debtor control
* Investigating and resolving balance sheet queries
* Liaising with management and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Processing and reviewing bank transfers and related documentation
* Assisting with month-end duties and supporting the Regional Accountant
About You
You will be a confident and analytical professional with a passion for finance and a strong eye for detail. You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience as an Assistant Accountant (automotive industry experience advantageous)
* Is confident using accounting systems (Kerridge experience a plus)
* Holds or is studying towards an AAT or similar accounting qualification
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills
* Works with accuracy, initiative, and a proactive attitude
