The Role
As Contracts Manager you will oversee multiple planned works and refurbishment contracts across Yorkshire, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.
You will manage site teams, supervisors and subcontractors while maintaining strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders. This is a hands‑on leadership role where visibility, organisation and proactive problem‑solving are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple planned works / refurbishment contracts from mobilisation through to completion
* Lead site supervisors and operational teams across live sites
* Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed quality standards
* Drive productivity, programme delivery and commercial performance
* Build strong relationships with clients and residents
* Monitor progress, costs and resource allocation
* Support recruitment, training and development of site teams
* Maintain compliance with health & safety and environmental standards
* Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates
* Promote a positive culture across all operational teams
What We’re Looking For
You will ideally have experience in the following areas:
* Planned works
* Kitchens & bathrooms
* Social housing refurbishment
* Decarbonisation
* Property services
* Painting / cyclical works
* General refurbishment sectors
And you will possess:
* Strong operational and people‑management experience
* Excellent client‑facing and communication skills
* Experience managing labour‑based construction activities
* Strong understanding of health & safety compliance
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent trade qualification
* Minimum 5 years trade / construction experience
