Job Description
Connect Plus Services (CPS) operates and maintains the M25 motorway network, including all adjoining trunk and slip roads on behalf of Connect Plus. The M25 is one of the busiest road sections in the UK and carries a high workload of routine and winter maintenance, whole‑life asset management for over 250,000 items, network operations, and improvements to reduce delays and enhance journey reliability.
Our 600+ staff use a range of IT applications—including AgileAssets, Unity, KOREC, Inform, Esri, Power BI, Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases—for incident response, inventory management, inspections, maintenance activities, data analysis and intervention planning. CPS also trials and implements new technology on the network. We are seeking a QA Test Manager to join this dynamic team.
Accountabilities
* Set up, maintain, and run test suites for browser and app‑based applications
* Set up a range of testing capabilities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially test automation
* Manage and track bugs / issues
* Contribute to the requirements and design stages of projects, bringing testing knowledge and planning to the process
* Collaborate closely with project team members and stakeholders, building effective relationships
* Live the Connect Plus Services values
* Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
* Support the delivery of Connect Plus Services sustainability activities
Qualifications
* At least two years of experience in software testing, covering unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially automated testing
* An understanding of spatial data and linear referencing systems/models
* Ability to trace data flows through client‑server systems and diagnose issues
* Excellent interpersonal and team‑working skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Highly organized and attention to detail
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Flexible, motivated and able to persevere in challenging situations
* MS Office (Word, Excel)
