Job overview
The post holder will provide a specialist service to children with bladder and bowel conditions and work autonomously to manage own caseload of patients and as part of a multi-professional team to ensure children receive the highest standard of care and support.
Advert
The post holder will give advice and implement patient care in an area which requires specific clinical knowledge, skills and experience which will include the development of clinical guidelines, specialist protocols and education programmes.
Responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist continence care programmes in clinic and community settings for children and young people, 5-16 years, within Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Waveney.
Act as a specialist resource person on the promotion of continence and management of incontinence with this defined age group.
Develop and implement education and training programmes for defined age group, carers and relevant community staff –School Nurses, Health Visitors.
Undertake Continence Health Assessments for children in schools in Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft & Waveney. Responsible for implementation of NICE guidance around paediatric continence.
Advise on service development needs and activity baselines.
